Members of Parliament from Assin Central Hon.Kennedy Agyapong has issued a warning to Chairman Wontumi to desist from imposing decisions on the party members.
According to the outspoken politician, Chairman Wontumi’s posturing in the runs up t and during the elections, wasn’t the best.
Kennedy Agyapong mentioned that the regional chairmen who openly declared their supports to Asamoah Boateng has been humiliated.
The candidate that got no or less of these open endorsements, Stephen Ntim however emerged the victor.
He polled 4,014 votes to emerge the newly elected Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
Kennedy Agyapong, in reacting to the Ntim’s victory said this should serve as a lesson to Chairman Wontumi and the 16 regional chairmen who openly declared their support for Asamoah Boateng.
He also advised the Ashanti regional chairman of the party to be circumspect in the things he does because he doesn’t own the party.
