The General Secretary of the largest opposition party going into the 2020 elections, NDC, Mr. Asiedu Nketia alias General Mosquito is known for his bold and firm utterances.
The politician who is famous for his style of dressing and the way he picks at his opponents is at it again.
Elections were conducted on 7th December 2020 and was generally peaceful.
Ghana has had no form of orderliness and peace after declaration of the results.
The NDC sympathizers who felt they should have won have been hitting the streets, demonstrating and venting their disappointments at the EC.
According to the leadership of the NDC, the EC chair rigged the elections in favour of the NPP.
The civil society and the international observers have asked the NDC to proceed to court if they feel cheated.
The General Secretary of the party, Asiedu Nkentia in an interview with Joy FM over the issue said they are not going to stop protesting.
He said ” That is a constitutionally guaranteed right of aggrieved people and then the constitutionally guaranteed right of aggrieved people to go to court is also available.
We will be on the street till the right things are done,”
In fact, he admitted there are other options rather than the protest but was quick to add that it is yielding results for them.
According to him, it is through the protest that they got the disputed Sene West parliamentary seat overtuned in their favour.
And that they will be going to court at the appropriate time. “The actions are already on the way, street power.
We will look at all the options, all the options are on the table,” he added.
