Voter ID Cards Replacement Kicks Off Today By EC – Electoral Commission

 The Electoral Commission of Ghana announced yesterday that they are going to resume the issuance of those lost Voter’s ID cards from today “Thursday 8 August 2019”.

The exercise will take place at all district offices of the electoral commission (EC) located across nationwide.

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensah revealed during a press statement on the 8th of August 2018, whereas, they had an issue with the printing of Voter’s ID cards. They therefore postponed the renewal of the lost voter’s ID Cards, in order to mandatory the 2019 limited voter register.

The commission also stated that due to funds generated by the institution, everyone needs to make a payment of 5gh to EC’s bank account at Ghana Commercial Bank and kindly submit payslip to the District office where the registration will be held.
