The Slapping Galore. NPP and NDC are making mockery of our Democracy, tinting the very essence of political tolerance.

The hot disagreement and the drama that landed four adults panelists in a serious misunderstanding happened yesterday in the afternoon at Multimedia station Asempa FM on the Ekosii-sen program.

The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B on Friday 1, 2019 slapped the National Communication Officer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi. The two men were both invited as guests at Multimedia station Asempa FM for political debate and talks.

It all started the minute the communication officer of NDC Sammy Gyamfi heated up the political argument with adage (if a mad man takes your cloth away whiles bathing, will you run after him nakedly?) that brought “tempers flying”.

Even though the host tried to calm both parties, the four invitees swayed out of control and The heated talk and disagreement lead to the instant end of the show.

The NDC Communicator has not been in the good books of the NPP, he is noted for slamming the ruling NPP administration. This did not go down with Nana B and Hon. Collins and that ensued hot argument between the 4 panelist (Nana B, Sammy Gyamfi, Ambrose, and Hon. Collins) and it resulted into contest, that saw Nana B raised his hand on Sammy.

NPP and NDC are making mockery of our democracy, tinting the very essence of political tolerance.

I for one wouldn’t root for the actions from both parties and as citizens we need to reject any politics that target violence and distractions.

A famous quote by Theodore Roosevelt says “the most practical kind of politics is the politics of decency. Most of us wants the best for this country, our youth and generations to come also expects the very best.

Politicians and our leaders at the herms of affairs must be the front runners for political tolerance and decency. As a country we have come a long way as far as our democracy and peace are concern and we must strive to do and maintain our best.
