Hon. John-John Peter Amewu becomes the first candidate from the NPP to win the parliamentary seat in Hohoe since 2000.
He didn’t waste time to thank his people for the privilege as he starts an earnest work 2 days after elections.
The energy Minister, Hon. John-Peter Amewu has broken grounds for the construction of a state-of-the-art palace for the Zongo community and the Wli traditional Area.
This is in fulfilment of a promise he made to the zongo and wli communities 2 days to the election.
The new elected MP, Peter Amewu said should he be elected as MP for Hohoe constituency, he would build an ultra modern palace for the Chief of the zongo community and the Paramount chief of wli community.
Hon. Amewu also said the two (2) facilities when completed, would be a two-storey building with a 1,500 sitting capacity on the ground floor and offices for the chiefs, opinion leaders and zongo elders on the first floor.
He said the edifice would also have a stocked library and washrooms.
Mr Kwame Amenyo of the Hub Amenyo Company Limited, the construction firm of the two edifices, said both facilities would be completed within four to six month duration to make it available for use as soon as possible.
