The Ace Duo R2Bees Won ‘The Best Group Of The Year’ At The Ghana Music Awards UK 2019

Mugueez and his cousin, formed R2Bees way back in 2007, they first released their first album in 2009, “Da Revolution”. The pair were nominated for Best International Act at the 2013 BET Awards. Various R2Bees singles appeared over the next few years while Mugeez also struck out on his own, guesting on singles by the likes of Criss Waddle, Mr. Eazi, and DJ Breezy. 2017 year saw him guesting on Fuse ODG’s single “Boa Me,” alongside Ed Sheeran.

Muguees(R2Bees) have won many awards to themselves, few days ago in London Ghana Music Award UK awarded the ace duo and legends the Best Group of The Year, a well deserving award.

These two duo’s have really worked so hard, mostly not recognised in our circles as well as Ghana Music is concern but they’ve always done things beyond awards, making it known to their colleagues that it should not always be about awards, they should always look beyond award and that’s the secret and music making money. R2Bees are the real group in Ghana music and indeed this awards deserves them.

Below is the official published notes:

The just ended Ghana Music Awards UK 2019 show honoured a powerful and show-stopping lineup of artists, entertainers, & cultural icons across more than 30 categories at the 4th Annual Ghana Music Awards UK.

Congratulations to all winners especially Shatta Wale for winning 3 most prestigious awards, a well deserving as such, and better luck to those who didn’t win any award, they should keep working hard their time will come.
