OLA MICHAEL GUSTS INDUSTRY PLAYERS, CALLS THEM HYPOCRITE ANGELS OF GHANA MUSIC

OLA MICHAEL FIRES AT INDUSTRY PLAYERS, CALLS THEM HYPOCRITE ANGELS OF GHANA MUSIC.

The music industry like I have stated before has got some idiotic ideosyncracies at play that need to be exposed. The 3 music awards organisers did a decent job of revealing the academy and board members to us.

The idea, I believe was in the spirit of fairness and openness. All that was expected of these Industry players, was for them to spend just 2 minutes and at worse, 5 minutes of their time to vote.

Their voting was to help select credible winners for the various categories as the public also voted for same. The number of industry players given that privileged was about 100! Yes, hundred industry players, privileged ones as a matter of course, were to vote from the comfort of their offices or homes.

Out of the hundred(100) people given such privileges, only twenty-eight  (28) voted! Seventy-two (72) of them refused to vote! Yet they shamelessly took tickets to attend the event. What the heck were you attending the event for?

How could you refused to help build and still gather the effrontery to attend the commissioning of the very building you refused to help put up? How best can this attitude be described if not witchcraft and wickedness.

The worse of it all is when they join ignorant ones like myself to criticize the event. You people are cruel! You are the very pain of this industry and not the organisers or the winners!

I’m sure they needed cash before helping building an arm of the very industry they posit to love?

Shame on you all. You are very wicked people! If I were you, I would shut the FUCK when people talk about the awards.

I think going forward, like I have opined some where during a moment of ideation, the voting college should be enlarged to capture all regions and radio stations.

It would take be bad having at least two representations from each of the about 500 radio stations in the country and same from the over 100 television stations.

This I believe shouldn’t be that hard, glory to the new age of technology. They could be on a single portal or platform where no one knows what the other voted for.

Things I believe will get better if our so-called industry Giants and intelligentsia learn to be selfless and supportive. Not only in the presence of money!
