The senior National team, the Black Stars of Ghana played the first phase of their two-legged African Cup qualifier on Thursday 12 November 2020.
The match was played in Cape Coast, however the Coasters didn’t turn up for the boys.
They rather watched the football from outside standing on the stadium hill.
The former capital city of the country is known for its reception it gives to the national teams, especially the Black Stars.
The Cape Coast stadium became a favourite ground for the African Brazilians.
After there have been calls for national teams’ matches to be played in other stadia apart from Kumasi and Accra.
The Cape Coasters have since been very supportive of the Black Stars.
This time around the organisers lost money due to the empty stadium.
Cape Coasters rather sorted to watching it from outside than paying to seat in the stadium.
