Ghanaians have been very happy ever since Twitter announced their decision to establish their continental headquarters in the country.
Jack Dorsey CEO of Twitter and his team explained why Ghana got the nod over other African countries.
They explained that as a beacon of a democracy and media freedom on the continent there is no better option.
Nigerians however feel otherwise. Having put their country’s population and how active they are on Twitter into consideration, they deserved the nod had it not been some factors that went against them.
A Nigerian Twitter user by name J Dennis has listed 10 reasons why his country lost the nod to Ghana.
According to him the office could get official line because of the Isa Pandemic which prevented the registration of new Sims.
He also blamed it on the “#BuhariMustGo” which compelled Lai Mohammed to fine Twitter for allowing mischievous hashtags.
Another is that Lai Mohammed accused Twitter of working with the opposition to destroy their democracy.
