Erica Ngozi Nlewedim, Adehoyin Odunfa, Anne Ogunmola Sowemimo and Elisabeth Akinnowale are just few of the 100 Nigerian woman to make the annual list of 100 Most Inspiring Women In Nigeria.
The list that comes annually and coming for its 7th year is the brainchild of the Leading African Ladies.
It recognizes and celebrates the impact and contributions Nigerian women have made in the fields of business, art, politics, sports, advocacy, medicine, media, fashion and many more sectors.
The ultimate goal is to achieve gender parity and equality in the Nigeria.
And to the join the rest of the world in celebrating women, the Organizers chose to drop the list on 8th March, 2021 which falls on International Women’s Day.
On this day, as we join the entire world in celebrating International Women’s Day, we choose to seek out and celebrate the achievements of these women — (some of who have passed on), demolish stereotypes that seek to limit women, and promote gender diversity and inclusion. These women are notably making impactful contributions to their communities, changing the narrative in their space and are consistently pushing the frontiers of excellence. In no particular order, join us as we celebrate their impact and power:
Some of the Nigerian women who made the list include Erica Ngozi Nlewedim of BBNaija fame, Adehoyin Odunfa, CEO of Digital Jwels LT, and Elisabeth Akinnowale, a CrossFit Althlete/Coach, Gymast and a social media celebrity.
