Hon. Andrew Asiamah Amoako, Member of Parliament for Fomena constituency is probably applying the principle of ” the devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know”.
The member of Parliament for Fomena Constituency is the only Independent member in the 8th Parliament.
Prior to the 2020 general elections the the MP was sacked from the New Patriotic Party over his decision to go Independent after losing the primaries.
Even though the NDC has been doing everything to have him on their side including nominating him for the position of the second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Andrew Asiamah Amoako still has his heart with his former party.
Before the inauguration and the swearing in of the 8th Parliament and Members of Parliament respectively, he publicly declared his intension to do business with the NPP.
That, however could not be taken seriously especially when he was just an MP elect at the time.
The most wanted MP has now written to speaker to do business with the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary caucus.
Reports are that the speaker held a meeting with both caucuses over how they to decide majority and officially put an end to the tussel.
The only Independent member would be deciding factor.
When request get approved by the speaker it will mean that the NPP will have a numerical advantage of one over the NDC who will have only 137 members.
