Tamale-based hiplife/dancehall artiste Mujahid Ahmed Bello, popularly known in the music scene as Fancy Gadam, has won the most promising entertainer category at the 37th International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
Fancy Gadam has won the award over international artistes like Bass Odyssey, Koffee, Dalton Harris, Kabaka Pyramid, among others.
The ‘Total Cheat’ hit maker, Fancy Gadam, has been up to his game and doing so well and so far he has a collaborations with popular musicians like Sarkodie, Mr. Eazi Patoranking and others, is a celebrated musician in the Northern Region and popularly referred to as the ‘King of the North’ in the music industry.
He has also appeared on many musical concerts held in the country and performed with music stars like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Samini, among others.
The awards ceremony was held at the Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
The International Reggae and World Music (IRWM), established in 1982, is to acknowledge and honor the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including: songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.
