Burna Boy Earns His Third Grammy Nomination, Makes Statements With His Album

Nigeria’s Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy has been the most Grammy-recognised Arstist from Africa in recent years.

This is after he personally earns two consevertive Grammy nominations.

Burna Boy was beaten to one of the most enviable categories “Best World Music Album” by Ange’lique Kidjo.

His ” African Giant” lost to her ” Cilia Cruz Tribute” album.

He was also a nominee in the same category by virtue of his collaboration with Beyonce’ on “The Lion King: The Gift” Album

He however has a great opportunity to help West Africa celebrate this one. It’s long overdue.

His 5th and latest studio album
” Twice As Tall” has earned him his third chance to claim the award.

The album has been nominated in the “Best Global Music Album” category but faces fierce competition from Babel Roberto, Antibalas and others.

The album, having been released and promoted by Spaceship Entertainment, Atlantic Records and Warner Music has every opportunity to grab this one.

The 63rd edition of the event will be held on 31st January, airing on CBS.
