Ghanaian popular music producer and sound engineer Ball J last Friday on Zylofon 102.1 was with Sammy flex’s Showbiz Agenda for a couple of music discussions.
The renowned sound engineer was talking about how some musicians gnashing their teeth about the hardships wallowing around the Ghana music industry and how it has become difficult to breakthrough.
The producer of the ‘Patoranking song’ gave an example emphasising of the eagerness and carriage by African dancehall ruler, Charles Nii Armarh Mensah also known as Shatta Wale how years back, he met him on ‘X’ FM, 2011 when the young chap boldly told him he’s going to blow up and others laugh at him, he said couple of months later he wasn’t surprise to see him do great in his career.
Ball J went on to say that Shatta Wale is the only Ghanaian musician that can rule the whole world with his songs and performances. He also made it categorically that every artist should use Shatta Wale as a case study, especially the up upcoming ones.
Giving an example, he mentioned Teshie Boi who base in Teshie, as a young champ, he’s very popular in that town playing shows and claiming thousands of cedis comparing to some known artist already we have.
According to him, upcoming ones should stop investing their little money in big stations, but rather, they should organised small shows around their hood or attends mini shows and claim some coins and blow unexpectedly.
