The sudden death of the rapper has taken everyone by surprise. Hussle was murdered outside his store, Marathon Clothing, in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.
There has been a heated argument between Sarkodie fans and one guy called Yaw Abban, over a post Sarkodie tweeted, after the sad news hits various platforms of one Nipsey Hussel, an America rapper
Sarkodie in a tweet writes:
“Wow this one really hurt. From far one of my fav people… both as an Mcee and a business mogul #RIPNipsey.
Then comes this young man Yaw A. Abban who replied Sarkodie:
Nip wasn’t a business mogul Kabutey! He was one of the best rappers from Carli. He owned a store in Crenshaw, California. He advocated to end gang violence: I don’t know your understanding of a business mogul.
A business mogul: If you’re the type of person who likes to be in charge, you may have dreams of becoming a mogul — that is, a powerful businessperson.
Mogul is a variant of the word Mongol, which we often use to refer to the empire once led by the famous (or infamous) Genghis Khan. The Mogul Dynasty conquered India in the 16th century, and remained in power for hundreds of years. As a result, the word mogul became synonymous with “leader” or “ruler.” a very wealthy or powerful businessperson, baron, big businessman, business leader, king, magnate, power, top executive, tycoon.
According to Wikipedia, Ermias Asghedom, known professionally as Nipsey Hussle, was an American rapper and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Emerging from the West Coast hip hop scene in the mid-2000s, Hussle initially became known for his numerous mixtapes, including his Bullets Ain’t Got No Name series, The Marathon, The Marathon Continues and Crenshaw, the latter of which rapper Jay-Z bought 100 copies of for $100 each. After much delay, his debut studio album Victory Lap was released in February 2018 to critical acclaim and commercial success, and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in 2019.
He had another interest in Acting and business aside music. In 2007, Hussle played a small role in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s semi-autobiographical film I Tried, which was directed by Rich Newey. In 2010, Hussle appeared on the song “We Are the World 25 for Haiti”, and was chosen to be the part as one of the XXL Magazine’s “Annual Freshman Top Ten”, a selection of ten up-and-coming artists.
In other words, the young man might be right, because Sarkodie as a rapper should have best designated Nipsey as a rapper and a songwriter for those who do not know him have a clue to his feelings that very moment. Nipsey had that interest in doing business, and becoming a business tycoon. NIPSEY was an entrepreneur according to every blog and media, from CNN, CNBC, Fortune, Forbes etc who reported on his death. All of them described the Grammy-Nominated Rapper, Nipsey as rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, and a promising career gem.
Inference, can we say the guy is right for debunking Sarkodie’s post? Or Sarkodie don’t know much or anything about NIPSEY HUSSEL?
